Goodbye, Assassins, you gleefully dark little musical you! You know, there are some shows that get funnier with every performance, as you hear the jokes over and over and come to appreciate them on multiple levels. Assassins, on the other hand, is quite the opposite - what's funny the first time has unsettling undertones by the fifth repetition. The fridge horror behind many of the innocuous lines really does add to the show's depth and impact, though, so it's not a bad thing. My brain usually hits 'creative urge peak time' some time between 8pm and 7am. This is kind of a problem. I need to get up very early tomorrow. I need to be a responsible adult and work, then go to class and take tests. I also need to draw RIGHT THE HELL NOW. Definite conflict of interests there. Oh well. Sleep is for the weak. Let's do this.

Protip: cats are why you can't have anything nice, ever. That charcoal piece you're working on? The one you left momentarily to get a drink? Yeah, muddy pawprints everywhere. That watercolor tray next to a full glass? Yeah, that's where the cat needs to be standing right now so you can pet him. Tin of brand new charcoal? Yup, on the floor.
